Yacht monitoring without internet

How GlassBridge keeps local yacht monitoring, records and permitted workflows aboard while Cloud GlassBridge depends on connectivity.

Aboard your yacht

The yacht’s local network is the starting point.

GlassBridge runs on an onboard appliance. Connected displays and equipment communicate across the vessel’s local network. A loss of public internet does not itself remove the local network or stop the appliance’s monitoring, retained records and supported local workflows.

The appliance, network and connected equipment still need power and working local links. Offline operation is not protection from a failed switch, depleted supply or unavailable source.

What continues, and what depends on connectivity?

Aboard

Local monitoring, source timestamps, retained history and authorised local equipment workflows remain with the appliance.

Ashore

Cloud receives selected status over the internet. Check the observation time; an old value is not a new reading. Equipment control remains aboard.

Entertainment and outside services

An onboard media library can keep files available across the local network. Streaming services and other internet services still need their own connectivity and compatible players.

Include a loss-of-connectivity check at handover.

Agree which local views and workflows will be checked without internet, how stale sources appear, and how Cloud freshness is explained to the owner. Record the result for the installed yacht.
